mid 2009 power on issues

I pulled my screen off to tighten the hinge and now I can't power it on. battery shows green status lights when pressed. I reset the laptop with shift, command, option, power and power adapter connected. the lights came on then went out. so keyboard is fine. battery is fine. adapter is fine. was working perfectly before. no issues with ram and as far as I can tell there are no loose connections. I did try to power on with the power pads and nothing happens. I also disconnected the battery and let it sit for a while and tried again..nothing happened yet again. any ideas before I bake the board?
